This will be the backstage area that the girl uses to warm up and prepare for the big performance.
We may also use it as her practising area that she does throughout the video as it has a big mirror and is in a private space. However there are a certain aspects of the room that could make it difficult such as the space between the wall and the mirror which is where the girl would be practising.
Location Photos
This is the stage that the girl will eventually be performing on at the end of the video.
Objects such as the whiteboard will be removed, and we are hoping to extend the stage to make it a more reasonable size for the girl to perform on.

Storyboard
This is our storyboard we drew out to help tell us picture what will be happening at each point in the video. The lyrics have helped us massively with the actions that will take place as we've planned a video that goes with the song. Each square holds a quick sketch of what we want to happen throughout the video. We then wrote underneath the text we had already in our 'Lyric analysis and locations' post, which just describes each of the images.

Performance video
We chose Goodbye Kiss by Kasabian for our Performance video because it only has them performing the song at one of their concerts in the bands official video. It shows them on stage in front of hundreds of fans which tells you that it's a performance rather than a recorded version of them singing the song put to a video. This means they haven't spent loads of money to produce their video and also that any one who decides to make a video to the song, can be original and not have such a high standard to compete with.

Concept Video
We thought 'Here It Goes Again' by OK Go was a good example for a concept video as it completely random and doesn't have a story or go with the song lyrics at all. It consists of the band dancing continuously on treadmills throughout the length of the song. It received a VMA for being the best video (That Should Have Won A Moonman) in 2009.

Lyric Analysis & locations
Standing in the rain, bus is late again
Girl will be stood waiting for bus in the rain, looks at watch because bus is late and is annoyed
She's been waiting for the answer
She won't go away, until it comes her way
She wont miss another chance
- standing at a bus stop
flash back of her previous performance that she failed (different outfit)
And it's hard to take
But she's hard to break
And it's hard
- different drama studio or ballet studio
shot of peoples feet in normal shoes but the girls wearing her ballet shoes - bus stop
There's a twinkle in her little eye
Close up of her eyes - emphasis of one eye especially
Just for a minute, she feels like a dancer
If you let her in she will stay for life
Cause she feels like a dancer, like a dancer tonight
looks out of window on the bus - on the bus
On a single bed, where she lays her head
She thinks about tomorrow
shot of her laying on her bed, and looking at her ballet shoes, thinking
And she doesn't know, that she beautiful
But you know it shows
grabs mirror and looks in it with doubt - in girls bedroom
And it's hard to take
But she's hard to break
Said it's hard to take
flash back of her practising a move she can't quite get right yet - drama studio or ballet studio
There's a twinkle in her little eye
Just for a minute, she feels like a dancer
If you let her in she will stay for life
There's a twinkle in her little eye
Just for a minute, she feels like a dancer
If you let her in she will stay for life
Doing art work (shots of her ballet work) and she is sat thinking about her performance, nervous - at school
Sat preparing herself for performance in front of mirror - backstage (at school)
And tonight's the night that she will find it
And the lights, the lights are all shining
lights shine on her as she enters the stage
She feels like a dancer, feels like a dancer
As she slips away again
begins performance - goes really well - school hall
There's a twinkle in her little eye
Just for a minute, she feels like a dancer
If you let her in she will stay for life
There's a twinkle in her little eye
Just for a minute, she feels like a dancer
If you let her in she will stay for life
Cause she feels like a dancer
Like a dancer
Like a dancer tonight
smiles as she continues to dance, everything goes right, finishes in pose, lots of clapping and cheering, lights fade as the song does - school hall

Narrative video
I chose Taylor Swift's song 'Love Story' as the narrative video as it is not only based upon a love story between a man and woman, but they are also a typical prince and princess too. By doing this it tells you Swift has used a sense of Disney behind the creation of the video. It has the Protagonist, which is usually the hero and is the prince in this case. The Heroine which Taylor Swift plays herself as the princess, and the Antagonist is the parents or whomever/whatever is getting in the way of the two from being together. They are in school to start with and they don't really know each other but by the end of the video they are in love and getting married, and this just goes to show that it's similar to quite a lot of fairy tale films.

Song Choices
In order to decide what song I will be making a video too, I came up with an initial list to show the options I had and why I rejected all but one of them.
Chosen Video:
The Enemy - Like a Dancer = This was our favourite possible option for our song choice as we thought it had quite narrative lyrics so it would make it easier when filming the music video. The music is very upbeat throughout it which means we need something going on all the time. The band already have quite a basic video for the song which is live footage of them performing the song which so we can be quite original with what we produce.
Rejected videos:
Kasabian - Goodbye Kiss = This is quite a mellow song and so was quite simple to film a story too but at the same time, it was more up beat than other songs we'd looked at. This would mean we'd need slightly different scenes included which give it that extra edge to make sure it goes along with the music. We would also have to do ours completely different to the bands official video as they only seem to have themselves performing the song at a concert.
Ed Sheeran - A Team = We thought this would be a good song as it revolves around one person in the actual video, and so we could do the same for ours and it wouldn't mean needing many people. The song itself is quite slow so we wouldn't need to produce anything wild and dramatic, however we feel as though the song is almost too slow for us to be able to make a video comfortably.
Taylor Swift - Love Story = This was more of an easy option out of our choices as it has a clear story in the official video, pretty much a disney fairytale where a prince and princess find each other and fall in love. Although it has this simplicity, we feel we wouldn't be able to create a video in the same way as it would involve needing costumes and characters that we would find difficult to get hold of.
The Kooks - She Moves In Her Own Way = We found this video was much more upbeat and had a faster rhythm to it, and so means our own video would need much faster scenes and activity going on in it.
Jake Bugg - Two Fingers Our initial thoughts on this song were good as we thought we could easily come up with a video to go with the lyrics but as this song already has a video it may actually be difficult. We'd find it hard to make a video different to the one it has already.
Arctic Monkeys - Brainstorm We would have liked to have had a shot at making as music video for this song, but we thought it would be hard finding people willing to star in it and who would pretend to be in a band and carry out Arctic Monkeys style.
Rudimental - Feel The Love We thought we'd look at a song a lot different to our previous choices. It would be a good song to make a music video for but as it's more of an upbeat dance tune, finding people and locations for the video may be hard.
