There were a few media technologies used throughout the construction, and research, planning and evaluation stages. Examples are things such as a camera to start with, and having to film a narrative video to the song. iMovie and Photoshop were regular computer program's that were used in the constructing process. We were able to edit pictures and clips and they allowed us to put everything how we had designed. Things such as YouTube and google helped with the research and planning stages, by enabling us to get to know what was out there already and how we could be original in our work. Watching the videos and reading the feedback they got, told us what we should and shouldn't do ourselves.

Evaluation question 4 (lucie)
4. How did you use media technologies in the construction, and research, planning and evaluation stages?
Evaluation question 3 (Lucie)
3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?
By putting our music video on Facebook and YouTube we allowed people we know, the majority being teen+, and YouTube users who were already fans of the band, to watch it. Hearing back from people that they liked it was a confidence boost but we knew there were things to improve on e.g. The control of the camera filming. We aimed our video at teenagers and anyone above that, as they are the ones who are most likely to be into rock music. The Enemy fans will know what the band do in their music videos, and that it is all pretty simple if anything, however they do include themselves. By targeting their fans, we were either going to get positive or negative feedback.
Evaluation question 2 (lucie)
2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
We designed out music video and ancillary tasks in ways we mostly thought would suit the bands fans. We decided to do this because the bands genre is rock and so changing the targeted audience wouldn't really work without changing the whole image. The Enemy's original album cover was the source to our own idea as theirs involved terraces housing. We enjoyed this aspect and took it upon ourselves to find a similar location but put our own originality on it. We did this by placing the girl from the video in front of the houses. This is an example of how our work fits into the context of other similar products. We maintained a star image across all of our products, and this being the girl.
Evaluation question 1 (Lucie)
1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
We designed our music video using the bands original video to guide us. By absorbing the techniques and qualities of the video, we took it upon us to create ours in an original yet similar kind of way. The similarity being the simplicity of the storyline. We made our video narrative and used the lyrics to create a story having our main and only character as a ballet dancer, who goes on a journey to become the successful dancer she dreams of being. Throughout the construction process we developed our knowledge and skills of real media products as we continued to research and discover them. I believe our media product has a different impact on an audience as the original video because of the narrative aspect we gave it. Instead of just watching a band perform at a concert, the audience will get a hold of a story and want to see how it turns out in the end. The viewers are perhaps also likely to remember the song as they remember the story they watched.
